OPTIMAL DESIGN OF GEOTHERMAL HEATING SYSTEMS

To heat buildings as efficiently as possible using geothermal energy, the borehole heat exchangers (geothermal probes) must be correctly dimensioned. The parameters involved are, on one hand, the thermal conductivity and capacity of the soil and, on the other, the thermal resistance of the borehole created for the probe. These are determined by means of thermal response tests in the borehole.
