WILL OUR BUILDING PROJECT BE EARTHQUAKE-COMPLIANT?
In 2004, new rules came into force aimed at making newly built structures resistant to potential earthquake risks. To avoid unnecessary time-wasting and misunderstandings, it is advisable to incorporate the relevant specifications at an early stage. We can advise you on this.
We produce subsoil class maps. This involves dividing up the subsurface into various subsoil classes according to SIA Standard 261, based on depth of rock, thickness of loose material, structure and degree of consolidation of loose material. The maps illustrate the sensitivity of the subsurface to earth tremors (attenuation, amplification). They also take into account location effects based on rock geometry.
For sensitive areas and structures (hospitals, industrial zones, etc.), we can carry out detailed supplementary investigations if necessary (spectral microzonation).
